Great day out fly fishing and horse riding. The best experience we had in our 14 000 kilometre road trip around the USA. Old mate Elliott was good value and we can’t rate these guys highly enough. We came all the way from a remote part of Australia to do this.
I cannot say enough good things about them! If you are on the fence about doing a sleigh ride….do it! It is the real deal and super authentic. The ‘crew’ is amazing, they know what they are doing, super knowledgeable and truly love this area and what they do. The horses like their job, are in shape and they take care of them making sure to stop and let them breathe on the way up. The wagons are unique in that you can sit up front with the driver or you can sit in the back where it is covered next to the fire. It is a longer trip up there, but time goes by fast and you are able to visit with other people, have a drink and see some beautiful countryside. Once you arrive up top it feels surreal. The building is super unique in that the teams dragged all the trees and milled all the lumber right there on the property…it doesn’t get more authentic or real than that! The atmosphere is the best. Dinner is family style and the food is amazing and plenty you will not leave hungry! It is byob and if you bring wine make sure and bring plastic cups for the wagon ride up or you will be like people in our wagon drinking out of the bottle! haha This is a real Montana backcountry sleigh ride that I highly recommend!
Where to begin? The sleigh ride dinners have become a birthday tradition for my fiancé and I, and every time we are more and more impressed. Charlie and the whole Cache Creek staff are so personable, and do a phenomenal job of taking care of their guests. The food is the absolute BEST we’ve ever had. EVER. Its a great experience riding up the mountain in a horse-drawn sleigh, breaking bread with strangers, and leaving as friends with hugs all around. Hands down, the best sleigh ride dinner in Montana!
Most amazing night ever and Cache Creek made our wedding day! We had a place nearby that had to cancel 3 weeks before the wedding and they stepped up, were willing to stay open longer than their season for wagon rides and made our day happen! The food divine, the staff superb, Charlie rocks and the horses were magestic along with those views! Our accidental find turned out better than we could have ever imagined!!! We loved our Christmas eve sleigh ride/dinner. An incredible experience. Off the grid, food cooked on an antique wood cook stove…Charlie and crew were great to work with. I highly recommended anything Cache Creek offers. If you are in the Bozeman -Big Sky ….area they are a must.
A glorious adventure! A must have for everyone and a Montana experience like no other. The sleigh ride that offers warmth as well as fresh crisp air drawn by two magnificent horses, amazing views and a delicious dinner unlike anything else. Not to mention, the most amazing staff and owner! There are few people that can say they have had a meal cooked by a wood burning stove and it being of restaurant quality. Thank you so much for the experience and the glorious memory. Will be seeing you soon!
While safety is being high priority, our trail guide Melissa also ensured that my granddaughters and I had a wonderful trip up the mountain, seeing awesome scenery and down. The horses are well trained, giving an experienced rider a good ride along with being gentle enough for those who have no experience. Highly recommend Cache Creek Outfitters, Inc!
Charlie is the s*#t! From start to finish, from three weeks ago when we were trying to plan a trip, until today on our ride, he was honest, approachable, and super funny. Mo, our other guide today, was equally as awesome. She was great with the horses and mules and made sure we felt comfortable and had fun, while being in control. Thank you both for an amazing adventure!
Had the best time on our sleigh ride dinner this weekend. The people are awesome, the food is ridiculously good the experience is unforgettable. Second time I’ve done the sleigh ride dinner and both times were amazing. Highly recommend them.
